Phillips Communications & Equipment Co., Inc., was established in 1979 to decommission central offices.  As equipment was acquired from various sources, Phillips began restoring and reselling the decommissioned central office and transmission equipment.  From this, Phillips Communications developed into a primary supplier to the refurbished telecommunications equipment market.

In the last decade, Phillips Communications has transitioned from a leading reseller of refurbished equipment into a major distributor of new and previously owned central office transmission and power equipment.
